13TH SP MAKES HISTORY

 

SP BODY APPROVES MOST NUMBER OF ORDINANCES IN ONE SESSION

A first for Iloilo Sanggunian, the 13th Sangguniang Panlalawigan ng Iloilo approved five Provincial Ordinances in one regular session.

“So far, this is the regular session where most number of Provincial Ordinances were passed by the Provincial Board,” Vice Governor Christine “Tingting” Garin said.

During the 72nd Regular Session of the 13th Sangguniang Panlalawigan ng Iloilo on November 27, 2020, five Proposed Provincial Ordinances were approved on the Third and Final Reading.

The Resolution No. 2020-798 embodying Provincial Ordinance No. 2020-245, entitled: "An Ordinance Providing Financial Assistance to Repatriated Overseas Filipino Workers and Providing Funds Thereof", authored by the Honorable Jason R. Gonzales, co-authored by the Honorable Rolando B. Distura and sponsored by the Honorable Dorothy G. Paes and the Honorable Domingo B. Oso, Jr.

The Resolution No. 2020-799 embodying Provincial Ordinance No. 2020-246, entitled: "An Ordinance Establishing the Provincial Meat Inspection Service (PMIS), Headed by the Provincial Veterinarian, and to Strictly Implement the Revised Implementing Rules and Regulations of Republic Act No. 9296, 'The National Meat Inspection Code of the Philippines', as Amended by RA No. 10536, Specifically on Regulating the Hygienic Handling of Meat and Meat Products, and Other Related Services and Activities

and Providing Funds Thereof", authored by the Honorable Matt P. Palabrica and Sponsored by the Honorable Nielito C. Tupas and the Honorable Rolando B. Distura.

The Resolution No. 2020-800 embodying Provincial Ordinance No. 2020-247, entitled: "An Ordinance Supplementing 'Provincial Ordinance No. 2008-072 "Rabies Control Ordinance of the Province of Iloilo as Amended", "'authored and sponsored by the Honorable Nielito C. Tupas.

The Resolution No. 2020-801 embodying Provincial Ordinance No. 2020-248, entitled: "An Ordinance Amending Section 3, Section 5 (f), Section 6, Section 7 (1), Section 7 (2) and Section 7 (4) of Provincial Ordinance No. 220-220, 'An Ordinance Implementing Curfew Hours in the Entire Province of Iloilo as a Measure to Address the Continuous Threat of Transmission of the COVID-19"", authored and sponsored by the Honorable June S. Mondejar.

The Appropriation Ordinance No. 2020-04, entitled: "An Ordinance Authorizing Supplemental Budget No. 04, CY 2020 for the General Fund in the Amount of FOUR HUNDRED FIFTY FIVE MILLION SEVEN HUNDRED EIGHTY THREE THOUSAND NINE HUNDRED SIXTY TWO PESOS (P455,783,962.00) and Supplemental Budget No. 03, CY 2020 for the Local Economic Enterprise in the Amount of ONE HUNDRED THIRTY THOUSAND PESOS (P130,000.00) to Fund the Necessary Expenditures for the Efficient and Effective Delivery of Basic Services in the Province of Iloilo."

Such alongside what stands as very active and responsive 13th Iloilo SP that has already approved the New Normal Provincial Ordinances. To note, there are 11 approved ordinances related to the effort of Iloilo Provincial Government in combating the COVID-19.

GRADE 3 STUDENT, NA-COMATOSE SA KASTIGO SANG MGA HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS

 Viral sa social media ang isa ka grade 3 student nga ginpulihan kastigo sang high school students sa Iligan City. Suno sa report, ginabulubanta yara sa apat ka kalalakihan ang nagkastigo sa 9 ka tuig nga bata nga lalaki nga estudyante sang Maria Cristina Falls Elementary School. Makita sa video ang pag-atake sa biktima kon paano nagbayluhanay sang sumbag kag sipa ang mga high school students sa iya lawas. Bangud sini, yara na sa Intensive Care Unit (ICU) ang biktima matapos nga nag-angkon sang nagkalain-lain nga pilas, partikular sa iya ulo. KONSEHAL NGA ABOGADO, GINLEKTYURAN SANG INHENYERO TUHOY SA IYA TRABAHO SA KONSEHO?
