ELMER FORRO NG BAYAN, ARESTADO SA KASO NA MURDER AT ATTEMPTED MURDER

Nananatili sa likod ng rehas ng Cabatuan MPS si Elmer Forro, 52-anyos, residente ng Barangay Cagamutan Norte, Leganes, Iloilo matapos maaresto sa Sitio Bangko, Barangay Lutac, Cabatuan, Iloilo noong Marso 29, 2022 sa bisa ng warrant of arrest sa krimen na murder na may Criminal Case No. 21-0909 na walang piyansa at attempted murder na may Criminal Case No. 21-0908 na may piyansa na 120,000 pesos.

Ang warrant of arrest ay inisyu ng Regional Trial Court, Branch 76, Janiuay, Iloilo noong Marso 5, 2018.

Sinasabing isa siya sa mga rebeldeng NPA sa ilalim ng Central Front ng Communist Party of the Philippines sa Panay, na responsable sa pagkamatay ni Pfc Mark Nemis, nang tinambangan ng terorista na grupo ang tropa ng 61st Infantry Battalion sa Barangay Panuran, Lambunao noong Abril 7.

Sa mga natipon na impormasyon, si Forro ay isang aktibo na lider ng Central Front Organization-Komiteng Rehiyon-Panay (KR Panay) na nag-ooperate sa Panay Island, at tinatago nito ang kanyang totoong posisyon sa underground movement bilang current Secretary General ng Bayan Panay.

Umaasa si Major General Benedict Arevalo, ang 3rd Infantry (Spearhead) Division Commander, na ang iba pang mga miyembro ng CPP-NPA terrorist ang namulat na matapos nahuli ang kilalang lider ng Bagong Alyansang Makabayan (Bayan) sa Panay na ayon sa arrest warrant, isa itong aktibo na miyembro ng terorista na grupo.
