AAMBIS-OWA PARTY LIST, EXTENDS ASSISTANCE TO GRADE 12 STUDENTS IN THE PROVINCE OF ILOILO

Vice Governor Christine "Tingting" Garin announced through the radio program Sanggunian In Action that the AAMBIS-OWA party list has started its distribution of 2,000 pesos financial assistance for the Grade 12 students in the province of Iloilo.

The implementation of the program is in coordination with the Department of Social Welfare and Development Regional Office 6, through Regional Director Atty. Carmelo Nochete, and the Office of the Vice Governor Christine "Tingting" Garin. The program was also coordinated with the Iloilo Provincial School Board before its implementation.

"We have about 36,000 Grade 12 students in the entire province of Iloilo who could receive this assistance," said Garin.

Because of huge number of beneficiaries distribution will be done gradually.

"Possibly, half of the 43 LGUs can receive the assistance within

December this year and the other half would be in January next year," Garin added.

The financial assistance will be distributed on-site in the 42 towns and one component city of the Province.

All enrolled Grade 12 students will receive 2,000 pesos assistance. There is no need to apply or register because the program was already coordination with all the school heads. They already have complete lists of Grade 12 students in the entire province of Iloilo.

"The school heads will just inform the Grade 12 students about their schedule, others were possibly informed already, on when to receive the assistance," Garin said.

The Vice Governor clarified that all enrolled Grade 12 students will receive the assistance provided that they are qualified according to the regulations of DSWD. Receiving assistance twice in a certain period is prohibited, thus, it is a must that DSWD will evaluate to identify the qualified students.
