SP SEEKS ADDITIONAL SUPPORT FOR ILOILO SCHOLARS WHO WILL TAKE BOARD EXAMS

The 14th Sangguniang Panlalawigan ng Iloilo is drafting an ordinance to support Iskolar sang Iloilo graduates who will take board exams.

In radio program Sanggunian In Action, Vice Governor Christine "Tingting", Garin said that college scholarship program of the Province produce around 125 graduates per year on the average and some of them need to take the board exams for the course they took.

"We are drafting an ordinance now on how to support the scholars to take board exams because we feel the need to help them in realizing their dreams," said Garin.

They should not miss the opportunity to achieve their goals. Iloilo Provincial Government has supported them for four years to finish their courses because they lack money for their education.

Taking board exam entails a substantial amount of money. The review takes a several months. It is useless to finish a course and could not take a board exam because of lack of money.

"This is just an additional support for the scholars," Garin said.

The students strived so hard to become scholars because of poverty and they understand that additional support is necessary until they take the board exam and become professionals, and to help their family.

The drafting of ordinance is on-going and it must be discussed thoroughly by the 14th SP to support the scholars of the province to take their board exam.

Meanwhile, Vice Governor Christine "Tingting" Garin congratulates the 125 new scholars under the Iskolar sang Iloilo Program (ISIP) of the province of Iloilo.

"This is just a start of their journey as students, especially that most of them are first year college," said Garin.

She is appealing, on behalf of the Iloilo Provincial Government, to the scholars to strive more and to study more because provincial government is working hard to have them as scholars.

Vice Governor Christine "Tingting" Garin is asking them to study more and strive to finish the course.
