ALMOST PHP 2 MILLION IN ILLEGAL DRUGS SEIZED BY ILOILO POLICE; TWO HIGH-VALUE SUSPECTS APPREHENDED IN A SINGLE DAY

Santa Barbara, Iloilo – The Iloilo Police Provincial Office (IPPO) successfully conducted an anti-drug buy-bust operation early this morning, August 10, 2025, leading to the arrest of two high-value individuals (HVIs) and two street-level individuals (SLIs) and the confiscation of almost PHP 2 million worth of suspected illegal drugs.

The Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit of the IPPO, led by Police Major Dadje B Delima, carried out the operation at around 12:43 AM on August 10, 2025 in Brgy. Poblacion Zone 2, Estancia, Iloilo.

The target, identified as Alias "Trenos," 31 years old, single, jobless, resident of Poblacion Zone 2, Estancia, Iloilo, was classified as a newly identified HVI. His cohorts, Alias "Buloy," also a newly identified high value individual ( HVI), 40 years old, single, jobless, and a resident of Poblacion Zone 2, Estancia, Iloilo; Alias "Caloy," street level individual (SLI), 32 years old, single, and a resident of Brgy. Cano-an, Estancia, and alias "Rikoy," street level individual (SLI), 41 years old, married, jobless, and a resident of Brgy. Guinticdan, Carles, Iloilo.

This operation stemmed from information provided by concerned citizens, which underwent almost three (3) months of thorough validation. Intelligence indicated that alias "Trenos" sourced his drug supply in Manila and distributed it in Estancia and Carles in Iloilo, and in portions of Capiz province. Operatives successfully confiscated approximately 280 grams of suspected Shabu with a Standard Drug Price of Php 1,904,000.00.

The IPPO, under Police Colonel Razalan's strong leadership, is fully dedicated to eradicating the proliferation of illegal drugs and ensuring the safety and security of the Ilonggo community. It perfectly aligns with the Chief PNP's policy thrust and the PRO6 Regional Director's priority focus.
